Comparison of Adjectives              
              Comparison of adjectives คือ การเปรียบเทียบขีดขั้นของคุณสมบัติต่างๆ ของคน สัตว์ หรือสิ่งของ ตั้งแต่สองอย่างขึ้นไป ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ขั้น คือ           
              1. Positive Degree คือ ขั้นปกติ เช่น  Peter is tall.           
              2. Comparative Degree คือ ขั้นกว่า เช่น  Peter is taller than Michael.           
              3. Superlative Degree  คือ ขั้นสูงสุด  เช่น   Scott is the tallest boy in my class.   
กฎการเปลี่ยนรูป adjective เป็นขั้นกว่าและขั้นสุด 
               1. เติม er และ est ท้ายคำ เช่น          
            positive     comparative              superlative           
               tall                    taller                        the tallest           
               strong              stronger                  the strongest
              2. ถ้า adjective ลงท้ายด้วย e ให้เติม r และ st เท่านั้น เช่น           
              positive       comparative           superlative           
               wide                  wider                            the widest           
               white                whiter                           the whitest
              3. adjective พยางค์เดียวที่ลงท้ายด้วยพยัญชนะตัวเดียว และหน้าพยัญชนะเป็นสระ ให้ซ้อนพยัญชนะท้ายอีกตัวก่อนเติม er และ est เช่น         
           positive        comparative              superlative           
              big                   bigger                          the biggest           
              fat                    fatter                            the fattest           
              hot                   hotter                           the hottest           
              thin                  thinner                         the thinnest
             4. adjective ที่ลงท้ายด้วย y ให้เปลี่ยน y เป็น i ก่อนเติม er และ est เช่น         
          positive       comparative           superlative           
            easy                   easier                      the easiest           
            lazy                   lazier                        the laziest           
            ugly                    uglier                       the ugliest           
            happy               happier                        the happiest
            5. adjective ที่มี 3 พยางค์ หรือ 2 พยางค์ ที่ลงท้ายด้วย full และ less ให้เติม more และ most   
          positive    comparative       superlative           
             diligent      more diligent        the most diligent           
             beautiful   more beautiful       the most beautiful           
            careless    more careless       the most careless
